FCI World Challenge of Top Dogs 2026

The Top Dog from the FCI member countries will compete in the FCI World Challenge of Top Dogs on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026 as part of the World Dog Show 2026 in Bologna.

The best Top Dog from FCI member countries compete for the title of FCI Top Dog 2026.

National Kennel Clubs select the dog that will represent their country in the competition. Information about the competition and the entry form will be sent to all National Kennel Clubs. Entry forms must be returned to the FCI by the deadline of April 5th, 2026.

The preliminary judging and the final Best in Show (BIS) competition for the FCI World Challenge of Top Dogs will take place on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026. All participating dogs will be randomly divided into three groups for the preliminary judging. The top four dogs from each of the three groups will compete in the final competition. Each group will be judged by one judge, and a fourth judge will select the BIS winner. The winner of the final competition will be awarded the title of FCI Top Dog 2026. The judges for the competition will be announced at a later date.

The organizer, ENCI, will ensure that there are no scheduling conflicts with the World Dog Show 2026. ENCI will also ensure that dogs and judges have ample time to participate in both the Challenge and the various events of the World Dog Show on June 3rd, 2026.
